Short Blog #4: Ronna Bloom Workshop
Here is a short creative writing piece I wrote in last week’s workshop with Ronna Bloom. Ronna said to pick an object that we gravitate towards and describe it the best we can. I chose my big Picasso book that sits perched on my desk all day. It seemed fitting to write about because it’s always with me while I study, and I feel attached to it through the story of how I got it.

Was it that the book was dated,
Or had Picasso become utterly uninteresting enough for it to be thrown in the library dumpster?
Nevertheless,
The woman on the cover remains in blissful peace behind her glossy blanket
Far calmer than I
